Mr. Nagidi has extensive experience in the design of efficient building services for a variety of new and existing facility types and scales. His expertise includes, but not limited to the design of commercial kitchen exhaust systems, geothermal heating and cooling systems, air-to-air, air-to-water, and water-to-refrigerant energy recovery systems, displacement, and natural ventilation systems, passive and active chilled beam systems, evaporative cooling, radiant floor heating systems, snow melting systems, solar systems, and many more. In addition, Mr. Khalid provides policy advice to private and public entities in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors. Also, he offers training in energy management as well as in solar energy.
He believes strongly that by incorporating energy-efficient strategies into the design, construction, and operation of new buildings, and taking holistic approach when retrofitting existing facilities will always lead to improved building energy performance.
With over two decades of experience in the field of energy management & audit, HVAC engineering and solar energy, Mr. Nagidi offers his expertise working with a large number of national and international government agencies, healthcare facilities, food networks, hotels, universities, and real estate development firms. Mr. Nagidi is an active member of numerous engineering and industry organizations including American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), and United State Green Building Council (USGBC).
Currently, he serves on several committees and organizations including ASHRAE Technical Committee 6.7, Programs Sub-Committee Chair – Solar Energy Utilization; a Member of ASHRAE Technical Committee 6.8 – Geothermal Heat Pump and Energy Recovery Applications; a Member of ASHRAE Certification Committee – Building Energy Assessment Professional; a Member of USGBC-LI Committee – Green Technology; and presently representing USA as an expert in the International Energy Agency/Solar Heating and Cooling/Task 48 – Quality Assurance and Support Measures for Solar Cooling program.
Mr Nagidi holds several certifications including Building Energy Assessment Professional (BEAP), Multi Family Building Analyst (MFBA), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), LEED AP Building Design & Construction (LEED AP BD+C), and NABCEP Certified PV Technical Sales Professional.
Mr. Nagidi received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from NYIT and his Master of Science Degree in Energy Management from the Center for Energy Policy and Research at New York Institute of Technology.
